playing with words

For one of my guest designer layouts for Scrapbook Circle they asked me to focus on typography and this is what I came up with:

This was one of my favorite papers from their July kit, and I thought it would be fun to cut out some of the triangles to add bits of patterned paper that featured print. I cut out some, cut only a couple of sides on others so that I could make a flap. I also added bits of journaling here and there and lots of other phrase-ology via embellishments in the kit from the Crate Open Road collection.

Here are a couple of closer looks at my page. The "dream" was cut out using the silver cardstock in the kit and my Silhouette Cameo.

If you'd like to play along with their challenge and have a chance at winning a pretty cool Crate Paper Open Road prize create a layout that features typography. Then post it on your blog, on the Scrapbook Circle Facebook page or an online gallery. Leave a comment on this post on the SC blog with a link to your project for your chance to win.
